About Us

Mornique R. Spencer is a wife, mother, teacher of education, dancer of God’s word
and an ordained deaconess. She has been a steadfast member of Set The Captives
Free Outreach Center, Pastors Linwood and Karen Bethea since August 2000.

Beginning her dance training at an early age, Mornique knew within her spirit that
God was calling her in a different direction with the art of dance. Along with her
love for dance, Mornique also has a deep love for Christ and seeing people saved. In
October of 2000, Mornique began directing Shekinah Liturgical Dance Ministry.

God has used Mornique in various arenas with dance. She has ministered not only at
her local church but also other churches within Maryland. She has had the privilege
to facilitate a dance workshop at a Women Conference in 2005. Also in the summer
of 2005, God allowed Mornique to travel throughout the Caribbean Islands with Rev.
Stephanie Butler, international dance minister and author and a missionary team
delivering the word of God through the anointed dance.

Mornique is not only the director of Shekinah Liturgical Dance Ministry, but is also
the Maryland State Coordinator for the Christian Dance Fellowship, Inc. She is a
loving wife of Jerome Spencer and the proud mother of Cedric, 13 years old and
Christyn, 9 years old.
